Pilgrimage of Hope 2025

The Pilgrimage of Hope was devised by Phil McCarthy to celebrate the 2025 Jubilee Pilgrims of Hope proclaimed by the late Pope Francis. With groups of pilgrims walking from north, south, east and west and converging on the Roman Catholic cathedral in Nottingham, a sign of the cross was made to bless Wales and England, with the walkers then taking part in various celebrations to mark Holy Cross Day on September 15th. The whole project took place over two weeks with me being privileged to walk with the western group, who started from Cardiff in late August, for four days as they came through my home area. For further details of the Pilgrimage of Hope see the website of Hearts in Search of God.
